Small towns produce fast-growing tech companies: Deloitte survey

Small towns are producing great software startups. Well this is a trend that needed some sort of credible reference and now that Dellloite's report "Technology Fast 50 India 2011", having over 75% software companies, is out revealing that "One of the key trend of this year has been that technology is no more limited to Tier 1 cities now. 14% of the winners this year are from Tier 2 cities spread across the country". Interesting!

ET has been upbeat on reporting this.

Months back, we reported about Nasscom's recommendations to incentivize location and Innovation to drive software industry growth in emerging locations. The current trend identified in the Delloite report seems to be in strong support of this recommendation.
